A journey around the Mediterranean giving free hugs

Some years ago a guy went in the street with a poster on which was written FREE HUGS and began to give hugs to unknown people.

Through internet, a video had spread this original initiative everywhere in the world, affecting thousands of people and rapidly becoming a free and spontaneous movement.

We wanted to try and live the same experience and last December we have distributed hugs in our hometown, in Reggio Emilia (Emilia Romagna, Italy).

This experience has been surprisingly intense and we are repeating it with enthusiasm.

Stimulated to reflect about the different cultural and social implications of this simple action, we have had the idea to associate this act of union and peace to the act of walking, wandering and of meeting people while travelling.
